How to get there

By air

Coronel Felipe Varela International Airport is located in the town of Las Tejas de Valle Viejo, 15 km from San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca, and is the only airport in the province. Aerolíneas Argentinas operates one or two daily flights from Aeroparque.

Catamarca can be reached from all over the country via the
connection in the City of Buenos Aires.

By bus

The route to Catamarca varies depending on your point of origin. Long-distance bus companies operate in the capital city from major urban centers (Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Rosario, Mendoza, Salta) , and it is also possible to reach Catamarca from other parts of the country via connecting buses.

From the Retiro bus terminal in Buenos Aires , there are 11 daily services to San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca , between
7:00 AM and 9:00 PM. Services range from semi-sleeper to executive or suite.

By car

Land connectivity is guaranteed by National Routes 38, 40, 60, 64, 79, and 157. Within the province, travel is also possible via numerous provincial routes. It is also possible to reach the area from Chile through the San Francisco border crossing, which connects Las Grutas and Copiapó.
