A little tidbit
More than 70% of the territory of Catamarca is occupied by mountain ranges.

A little tidbit
Catamarca's climatic diversity is one of the most extensive in the country, resulting in a wide variety of landscapes, flora and fauna.
Climate
Catamarca combines warm, arid, and mountainous regions. While the east is more temperate and humid, the west and the Puna are dry and experience more extreme temperatures. The mountain ranges provide coolness and even permanent snowfall on their peaks.
Average temperatures are around 20°C, with summers that can exceed 40°C and high-altitude areas where winters drop well below 0°C.
This variety gives the province ideal conditions to enjoy its landscapes and experiences throughout the year.

Gastronomy
From classic empanadas and locros
From the delicious kid goat, the regional cuisine is a journey in itself through the unique flavors of Northwest Argentina.

A little tidbit
