About the event
On April 11th at 9:30 pm , the Calchaquí Hall will host the premiere of "Sundays Don't Call" , a theatrical proposal that invites reflection on waiting, illusion and unfulfilled promises.
This one-person show, written and directed by Lucas Salas , focuses on the story of Carmela, a woman who has built her life around a promise that is never fulfilled. Through a narrative that oscillates between acerbic humor and melancholy, the play offers an intimate journey into the emotional effects of this prolonged wait.
As Salas himself explained, the play not only addresses abandonment, but also human obstinacy in the face of what remains elusive . In that sense, he emphasized that the character—played by Rodolfo Berrondo —experiences various Sundays where hope gradually transforms into obsession, in a journey that combines lucidity and delirium.
The staging places particular emphasis on the character's body, showing its deterioration as time passes…
