Wine Tourism

Wine tourism in Catamarca is an experience that combines winemaking tradition with unique landscapes. With vineyards that stretch to high altitudes, the province stands out for producing excellent quality wines, influenced by its dry climate, temperature range, and mineral soils.

The main production areas include Tinogasta, Fiambalá, and Santa María, where you can tour wineries and vineyards that maintain traditional production methods. Here, visitors can taste emblematic varieties such as Malbec, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Torrontés, as well as discover lesser-known grape varieties that reflect the identity of the Catamarca terroir.

In addition to wine tasting, wine tourism in Catamarca offers immersive experiences such as vineyard tours and the opportunity to pair wines with regional cuisine.

The Full Moon Harvest at Bodega Tizac in Fiambalá is a unique experience that invites locals and tourists to participate in one of the most crucial moments of the winemaking process. During this nighttime harvest, participants walk through the vineyards under the moonlight, cut the grapes, and take them to the winery at midnight, in a festive atmosphere where music and dancing accompany every step.

More than just a harvest, it's a celebration of the end of the grape harvest, fully experienced with a folk festival, tastings of high-altitude wines, and regional dishes specially prepared for the occasion.
