Antofalla Salt Flat
The Antofalla Salt Flat is an enormous salt desert stretching over 160 km, making it the longest in the world. It covers an area of 5,001 km², is over 150 km long, and is no more than 12 km wide, with an average altitude of 3,900 meters above sea level.
This natural wonder is located 25 km from the town of Antofalla. It contains Laguna Verde (Green Lagoon) and various other colorful lagoons and waterholes.
There, you can explore ravines teeming with vicuñas and rheas, reaching an altitude of 4,600 meters above sea level, from which you can admire the imposing Antofalla Volcano (6,409 meters above sea level), and then visit the town.
